Jim Fitzpatrick - Tai Chi/Qigong/Oriental Medicine

Following undergraduate Health Studies at Waterloo, Jim received a Master of Science degree from Samra University of Oriental medicine in 1994 and was certified nationally in 1994 and California in 1995. He interned in China in 1995 and 1996, including at Beijing TCM hospital. Jim helped set up and taught the acupuncture program as well as taiji qigong at the Toronto School of TCM, the first comprehensive program in Toronto. An ardent practitioner of Wu style tai chi chuan since 1986, Jim started teaching with David Chiu in 2001. Jim is currently completing doctoral studies and research in integrative medicine, healthy aging, and longevity at Yosan University in Los Angeles. His approach to practice is integrative, and includes prioritizing lifestyle changes, dietary and herbal medicine, acupuncture, tuina massage, tai chi and medical qigong.

David Chiu - Tai Chi

Sifu David Chiu was Deputy Chief Instructor of Wu's Tai Chi Chuan Academy for over 20 years. He was an official judge at the Pan Am games in 1998, and an honorary Vice President of the Canadian Tai Chi Federation. Sifu has a firm grasp of the breadth and depth of Wu style taiji chuan, including weapons, push hands, and internal qigong practice. His discipline and dedication are reflected in his teaching, spanning more than 40 years.

Jane Kruse - Iyengar Yoga

Jane has been practicing Iyengar yoga since 2000 when she started in a foundations class at Healing Arts Centre. She continues to train at Yoga Centre Toronto under the guidance of Senior Iyengar yoga teacher Marlene Mawhinney. Jane is Internationally certified at Intermediate Junior 1 level.

Jennifer - Certified Iyengar Yoga Instructor

Jennifer has been practicing Iyengar yoga for more than a decade and has been fortunate to study with teachers in Canada, Denmark, England, and elsewhere. Currently, she studies with Marlene Mawhinney at Yoga Centre Toronto. Wanting to learn more, Jennifer entered the Centre's teacher training program several years ago, and is now an Internationally certified teacher at the Introductory ll level. 

Nozomi - Certified Iyengar Yoga Instructor

Nozomi started Yoga in 2006 when she was living in India. The following year she met Usha Devi who is a renowned Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher in Rishikesh, India and studied under her for 3 years. Currently she studies with Senior Intermediate III Iyengar Yoga teacher, Marlene Mawhinney at Yoga Centre Toronto. She is passionate to guide people to a holistic healthy path by teaching Iyengar Yoga.
